What to Expect at the NEBA Girls Showcase
Player Evaluations
Participants will engage in a series of drills, skill challenges, and live game scenarios designed to showcase their athleticism, basketball IQ, shooting, ball-handling, defensive skills, and overall competitiveness. Evaluators and coaches observe each player’s ability to perform under pressure and contribute within a team structure.
Small-Sided Games & Scrimmages
To maximize touches and individual impact, players will compete in small-sided games or mixed-team scrimmages. This format enhances visibility and allows athletes to demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and effort across multiple roles.
Multiple Game Opportunities
Every player will participate in multiple short games or competitive sessions, ensuring a full evaluation of their skills in both structured and game-like environments.
Exposure to College Coaches
College and university coaches are invited to attend the showcase in person. Many will film games, take detailed notes, and engage with athletes and families. This direct exposure is a valuable recruiting opportunity for players looking to compete at the next level.
Player Rankings & Feedback
Select players may receive written evaluations, rankings, or feedback from coaches and scouts. This information helps athletes identify their strengths and focus on areas for continued development.
Networking & Recruiting Opportunities
The NEBA Showcase also creates space for athletes to connect with recruiters, coaches, and fellow players, opening the door to scholarship opportunities, college camp invitations, and future recruiting events.
